2025 MUTA CONVENTION

The 2024 Annual Convention, organized under the theme Rethinking MUTA: A strategic reassessment and adaptation for effective service, aims to provide a platform for all stakeholders and supporters to meet and celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of MUTA over the past 30 years as well as provide a retrospection of the organization’s activities. Additionally, the convention will explore strategies, innovations, and collaborations with a view towards building resilience and enhancing MUTA’s impact and sustainability for the future. 

The convention underscores the critical importance of dialogue and introspection in self-preservation and sustainability. The convention will feature various substantive sessions including plenary, workshops, panel discussions, cultural performances, social activities, and networking opportunities that will highlight the achievements and challenges of MUTA and explore ways to enhance its impact and sustainability in the future. It is expected that invited guests will have robust conversations within these sessions on topics relating to the sustainability of Tiv nation as well as use the opportunity to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing MUTA, and to identify ways to enhance its impact and relevance in the changing world.

1. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (airport code: DFW): Commonly referred to as DFW, is the primary international airport serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Located between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, DFW is a major hub for domestic and international flights. The airport is approximately 5 miles away from the convention center (around a 10-minute drive). The convention hotel operates a 24-hour shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The airport is around 6 miles away from the convention center (approximately a 15-minute drive).
